Place in the Menu bar

Sometimes it is possible that your Wi-Fi button may not be displayed in the menu bar. You can place the icon on the menu bar by following this simple process:

  2. Launch System Preferences.
  3. Tap on the network icon.
  4. It will show up a list of the available networks.
  5. Choose Wi-Fi.
  6. It will open up a dialogue box.
  7. Scroll down to the bottom.
  8. Tap the box adjacent to Show Wi-Fi status in menu bar.
  9. Tap on Apply.
  10. Wi-Fi icon will be shown on the menu bar now.

Choose a network

If the router is working fine and there is no issue with a broadband provider, then you will see a list of available Wi-Fi networks. Choose the appropriate network. 

Enter the password

  1. If you have a secured Wi-Fi, then you will be asked for inserting a password.
  2. Enter the password in the bar.
  3. Tap the box beside remember this network.
  4. Now you will not need to put the password every time.
  5. Tap Ok now.

Reset it

  1. If you have gone through the above process well but still your WiFi refuses to connect then go and Reset it.
  2. Tap on the system preferences.
  3. You shall be presented with a list of choices.
  4. Tap on the network for displaying the available networks.
  5. Tap on WiFi then go to the bottom and click on the minus sign to delete WiFi.

Create WiFi

  1. Restart your computer after deleting wiFi network.
  2. Simply go to the system preferences.
  3. The clock on Plus sign.
  4. Select Create WiFi.
  5. So now you have created WiFi.
  6. The Wi-Fi AirPort would have restarted.
  7. Turn it On.
  8. Now your WiFi connection problem should vanish.
